Noccalula Falls drops 90-foot into a gorge high on Lookout Mountain above the city of Gadsden. Below the falls lays large boulders and deadly currents that have been deadly over the years. To everyone’s surprise the kayakers made it safely over the raging falls. They were shooting footage for a documentary about Lookout Mountain whitewater when they descent the beautiful Alabama waterfall.

A $125,000 grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund will soon give Cherokee Rock Village Park a new face lift. The grant will improve camping spaces, restrooms, parking, sidewalks as well as the road improvements to the park. Cherokee Rock village has been a favorite for climbers since the 70′s and is one of Alabama’s most beautiful places.

The rock village sits high on lookout mountains in northeast Alabama near the town of Sand Rock. During peak season expect many climbers and campers enjoying breath-taking morning views over Weiss Lake. Large bolders and rock walls run along the village and the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

If you are in the woods around the Coates Bend area of Etowah County, Alabama and see any animals that are acting weird, do not mess with them. Rabies is famous for turning a normal scared coon into a crazy creature. Dogs can become very violent and tend to be crazy fighters to. There have been attacks of bobcats infecting people in many areas. BOB Cat Attacks

COTTONWOOD – A bobcat Attack Some more Rabies stories..

All kinds of animals can get rabies and pass it to other animals. If you are in the woods it is good idea to have protection! I always carry a sharp knife in case of rough situation.
