Bethel Baptist Church, Parsonage, and Guard House

Bethel Baptist Church  served  as  the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights headquarters from 1956 to 1961.    Bethel Baptist Church was an important location for the Civil Rights Movement. Focusing on nonviolent and legal action against  schools , employment discrimination, segregated  accommodations, and transportation.
